A dispute between Valuers & Experts over this particular Antique Pendant. It has actually caused much controversy.
Sold to me as Georgian from a highly respectable Dublin Auction House but the Provenance has been questioned by a couple of the Valuers I use, one saying early 1930’s and another saying 1950’s! Then I had it examined by 2 very highly respected Experts in Antiquity from the AAADA who both claim definitely Georgian. So there we go. However the majority of Valuers do not deal with Antique well, often omitting the very important element of Rarity. And this certainly is a rare piece. Big & Beautiful Gold Piece.
